Biography:
Alex Seblatnigg, CAVS, CPXP is Director of Volunteer Services and Internal Engagement at Shepherd Center, overseeing an extensive volunteer program of in-hospital and community volunteers serving Shepherd Center patients and family members. She manages an employee giving initiative which annually raises over $200,000 and Shepherd Serves, the employee community volunteer program. Alex also leads training for Shepherd’s Grateful Patient program, which empowers former patients and their families to support the organization through various philanthropic channels. She is a Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services, which distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the field of volunteer management in healthcare and is also a Certified Patient Experience Professional.
Alex served on the Georgia Society of Volunteer and Retail Professionals (GSVRP) board in a variety of roles from 2011-2024. She was recognized with GSVRP’s Wyn Award in 2018, presented to a member who has made an exceptional contribution to the society. She has served in a variety of roles nationally including State Host Planning Chair for the 2016 AHVRP Conference. She co-chairs the Volunteer Professionals Council at The Beryl Institute and is the Southeast Region representative for the Society of Healthcare Volunteer Leaders (SHVL).
