Employees as Volunteers

    Our employees are much the same as Erin and Regina's - they cannot volunteer in their assigned department, and they cannot perform tasks that mirror their paid duties. We also avoid situations where colleagues retire and request to volunteer in their old department.

    Our employees complete a separate application and agreement.  They are not allowed to volunteer in their departments.

    Hi Lori,

    Our employees that come in as volunteers, cannot volunteer in the same area in which they are employed.

    Hello,

    Can you please share with me the process of bringing employees on as volunteers. I am in discussion with my HR team and there seems to be some hesitation. Obviously legal is a big part of the concern. Another is workman's comp. Our volunteers are not covered under workman's comp so how does that work? I appreciate any help you can share.
