Hi!  At University Hospitals (Cleveland area/Northeast) it varies throughout the system from $5 to $7.50.  Our hospital has been at $6 for many years. We get frequent complaints from volunteers that it doesn't cover much anymore- and they are right.  We are trying to collectively put together a case to raise it to $8 across the system.  Having all of your information to show we are behind the curve is helpful!

    Hi Lori,

It varies with in ProMedica but most hospitals are $9.00.  It is just enough to get the meal or action station of the day.

    Hi Lori,

Our volunteer meals average between $6.00 to $8.00.

    Hi Lori,

We are currently sitting at $11. My Nutrition folks tell me $12 or $15 would be more in line with what's really needed for a full meal. I would anticipate reviewing and potentially raising it sometime in our current fiscal year. Some of my peers nationally (via our parent company, Trinity Health) only give out free drink cards or free coffee. There's a wide spectrum for sure.

Can you share with me how much money your organizations give to your volunteers in the way of meal tickets/vouchers? I am hearing anywhere from $6.00 to $13.00. With the prices in our cafeteria going up I want to be fiscally responsible while showing the appropriate appreciation for our volunteers. Thank you in advance.
